Andriy Semotiuk is a writer, lawyer, and former U.N. correspondent recognized for his compelling stories about immigration and human rights. He is the author of four books, including the award-winning Solomea: Star of Opera's Golden Age, which chronicles the life and legacy of his great aunt, the renowned soprano Solomea Krushelnytska.

As a Forbes contributor for over 10 years, Andriy's articles on immigration have been read by over one million readers. He is a member of the New York and California bars in the U.S., as well as Ontario and British Columbia in Canada. Andriy practices U.S. and Canadian immigration law at Pace Law Firm in Toronto and is a Senior Advisor to the Centre for Eastern European Democracy.

A father and grandfather, Andriy currently resides in Toronto with his wife.
