Lauren wrote and published her first fiction novel, When a Soul Walks, while finishing up her final year at Emerson College. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. In 2019 she self-published a book of poems titled Handle with Care. Lauren’s writing has been awarded two Gold Keys from The Boston Globe, and won first place in the Canton Writes Contest in 2016 and 2017.
